Description
These fuel cell bricks stops fuel sloshing that may negatively impact handling. Also great for holding down fuel pumps, hoses or pickups.
Foam in a fuel cell / tank also prevents a concentration of the fuel vapour plus air mixture, which significantly reduces the probability that the fuel cell will explode in case of a fire.
Can be cut down to fit, best cut with a hot wire but if cut with other means ensure it has been soaked in fuel outside of the tank to ensure there are no loose particles which may clog fuel filters.
The tank should not be completely filled with foam. The foam will expand upon contact with the fuel. The fuel cell should have no more than 75% of the area filled with foam.
NOTE: this foam is NOT E85 compatible and should be tested before installation if you are using any type of fuel additive or “Aftermarket” fuel.
As a guide a 10 U.S. Gallon cell may only require 2 bricks, a 20 U.S. Gallon cell may require 6, this is dependent too on their shape.

Fuel cell foam will typically last about five years. To determine if your foam needs to be replaced try a pinch-pull test. Take a portion of the foam and pinch/pull it between your index finger and thumb. If the foam is brittle and breaks off in large portions, your foam should be replaced.
